Lebanese MP Slams Netanyahu’s Remarks on Maritime Deal as Surrender

Lebanese Parliament member Ibrahim Mousawi has strongly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s characterization of the maritime border agreement, labeling it a historic concession and surrender to enemy dictates. Mousawi asserted that the framework agreement holds no legal or constitutional legitimacy in Lebanon.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ibrahim Mousawi, a Member of Parliament in Lebanon, has vehemently condemned remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the maritime border agreement between Lebanon and the Israeli entity. Mousawi stated that Netanyahu’s description of the framework agreement as an achievement signifies a historical gain for the occupiers and a capitulation to the enemy’s demands.

He further elaborated that the so-called framework agreement is legally and constitutionally void in Lebanon, lacking any form of legitimacy. Mousawi asserted that any individual who signed the agreement has committed a grave betrayal against Lebanon, its people, history, geography, and sovereignty.

The Lebanese MP emphasized that the agreement between Joseph Aoun and Netanyahu has no bearing on Lebanon, its citizens, or any free, honorable, and independent Lebanese individual.
