Hamas Military Wing Praises Syrian Resistance Against Israeli Forces

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, issued a statement commending the Syrian people in the southern village of Abidin for their resistance against occupying Zionist forces. The statement was reported by Al Jazeera and disseminated by the Mehr News Agency.

Abu Obeida, a spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades, emphasized in a Telegram message, “We send our greetings to the heroes of the brotherly Syrian nation who rose up with their simple tools to confront the occupation forces in the village of Abidin in southern Syria. These are people who rejected submission and the acceptance of aggression and occupation of their land by the Zionists.”

He further warned of the underlying objectives of these movements, stating, “The Zionist aggression against Syria is an extension of the aggression against Palestine, Lebanon, and other nations of the Islamic Ummah. This is a clear attempt to implement the nefarious project of the so-called ‘Greater Israel’ and impose new realities at the cost of destroying our nations and countries.”

The spokesperson for the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades concluded by addressing the Islamic world: “It is incumbent upon our Ummah, with all its peoples and sects, to nip this Zionist delusion and myth in the bud and to thwart this project before it is too late.”
