Ukraine Drone Strike Kills Five, Injures 18 in Zaporizhzhia Market
A Ukrainian drone attack on a market in the city of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia, resulted in five fatalities and 18 injuries, according to Russian defense officials. Simultaneously, Russian air defense systems reported intercepting numerous Ukrainian drones over the past week.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 3,871 Ukrainian drones, three Flamingo missiles, and 72 guided aerial bombs over the past week. The ministry also stated that six retaliatory strikes were carried out against defense and energy industries associated with Ukraine‘s armed forces during the same period.
In parallel, Yevgeny Balitsky, the governor of the Zaporizhzhia region, reported that a Ukrainian drone attack on the market in Tokmak claimed the lives of five people and left 18 others wounded. Russian sources also indicated that five individuals were injured in a separate Ukrainian drone attack on Kherson.
