The Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, and the Prime Minister of Iraq have arrived in Najaf, marking a significant presence at the funeral proceedings for the martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Reports indicate that the funeral prayer will be led by Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Al Hakim in Najaf.
Iranian Consul in Karbala announced that top officials, including the Iranian President and the Iraqi Prime Minister, were present at Najaf Airport to receive the body. Simultaneously, news sources reported the arrival of Al-Zaidi in Najaf Al-Ashraf.
Iraqi media outlets confirmed the arrival of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at Najaf Airport. Meanwhile, pilgrims and participants in the funeral procession for the martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei have been gradually arriving in the holy city of Karbala over the past two days, with their influx continuing.
Medical teams and security apparatus have reportedly finalized all necessary preparations to escort and secure the funeral ceremony within the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Abolfazl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
The family of the martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is scheduled to arrive in Karbala on Wednesday morning for an official reception attended by officials.
