Maritime Security Threat in Strait of Hormuz Remains at Highest Alert Level

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Kingdom’s Maritime Trade Operations has announced that maritime security threats in the Strait of Hormuz continue to be at the highest level of risk. This warning from the British entity comes as Bloomberg, citing international navigation data, reported a near-complete cessation of shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz following recent developments. The U.S. news agency added that the limited movements occurring in the Strait of Hormuz are largely confined to a specific route in its northern section, for which Iran has granted transit authorization. These developments followed recent actions where the United States military conducted aggressions against dozens of targets within Iranian territory over two consecutive nights. In response to the American violation of the ceasefire, Iran’s armed forces launched extensive operations against U.S. military bases in the region.
