Israeli Network Claims ‘Sensitive Operations’ Halted in Southern Lebanon at US Request

An Israeli television network has claimed that political officials within the Israeli regime have instructed the military to suspend ‘sensitive operations in southern Lebanon’ at the behest of the United States. This directive is reportedly in effect until further notice, pending the evolution of tensions between Iran and the U.S., and ongoing negotiations between Tel Aviv and the Western-backed government in Beirut.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing Al-Araby Al-Jadeed and reporting from the Mehr News Agency, the Israeli Channel Kan has claimed that political authorities in the Israeli regime have ordered the military to halt all “sensitive operations in southern Lebanon” at the request of the United States. This directive is to remain in effect indefinitely, until new orders are issued, the trajectory of tensions between Iran and the U.S. becomes clearer, and negotiations between Tel Aviv and the Western-aligned government in Beirut conclude.

According to the report, U.S. officials have been engaged in escalating tensions with Iran in recent days and have expressed concerns about the potential involvement of the Israeli regime in these conflicts. Channel Kan also claimed that the Israeli military anticipates that withdrawal operations from test areas in southern Lebanon will commence at the start of the current week.
