Qatar Declares Four Days of National Mourning Following Death of Former Emir

Qatar has announced four days of national mourning after the passing of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former Emir and father of the current ruler. His funeral prayer will be held following the Maghrib prayer.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatar has declared four days of public mourning following the death of its former Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who was also the father of the current Emir. The announcement was made by the Amiri Diwan of Qatar.

Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani passed away at the age of 74. The funeral prayer for the former Emir is scheduled to be performed after the Maghrib prayer at the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque.

Following the prayer, the remains of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani will be laid to rest at the Lusail cemetery.
