Russian Air Defenses Neutralize Over 4,800 Ukrainian Drones

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian air defense forces have neutralized approximately 4,830 Ukrainian drones over the past week. This figure was released by the Russian Ministry of Defense, citing data from the Novosti news agency and Mehr News Agency.
The highest numbers of downed Ukrainian drones were recorded on July 8 and July 10, with 903 and 821 unmanned aerial vehicles intercepted, respectively.
This recent announcement comes amidst reports of Ukrainian air defense systems struggling to counter Russian aerial threats. A report published by the French newspaper Le Monde indicated that Ukraine‘s air defenses in the capital, Kyiv, were unable to intercept new Russian ballistic missiles and supersonic drones during a recent attack.
The report further detailed that during an offensive targeting Kyiv, which is described as Ukraine’s most fortified city, the air defense systems were unsuccessful in intercepting any of the incoming Russian ballistic missiles.
