European Commission President Pledges New Defense Initiatives During Ukraine Visit

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen embarked on another visit to Ukraine on Wednesday. Upon her arrival in Kyiv, the President conveyed via the social media platform X that she would announce new initiatives aimed at integrating their defense industries to enhance production speed and volume.

Von der Leyen further stated that discussions would also cover Ukraine’s accession process to the European Union and preparations for the upcoming winter. She highlighted Ukraine’s significant role as a security network provider for Europe, necessitating a new form of cooperation. Consequently, a new defense industrial partnership between the European Union and Ukraine was launched today.
