US Approves $2 Billion Missile Sale to Saudi Arabia

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Department of State has announced its approval of a potential deal for the sale of 20,000 precision missile guidance systems and associated equipment to Saudi Arabia, valued at approximately $1.96 billion.
As per the announcement from the U.S. State Department, this transaction encompasses the potential sale of up to 20,000 APKWS-II model missile guidance systems to Saudi Arabia.
The department also stated that the estimated value of this sales contract to Riyadh is around $1.96 billion.
According to the statement, Saudi Arabia has requested to purchase up to 10,000 units of the APKWS-II air-to-air and air-to-ground missile guidance system.
The U.S. State Department added that Saudi Arabia’s request includes LAU-131 air-to-air missile launchers, Mk-152 high-explosive warheads, MK66 missile motors, proximity fuzes, WTU-1/B training warheads, as well as inert MK66 missile motors.
