Israel Escalates Border Tensions with Bombings, Shelling, and Drone Activity in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army has reportedly carried out a major explosion in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and shelled the town of Hiddatha in southern Lebanon, alongside drone strikes and agricultural land incursions, escalating ongoing ceasefire violations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, reports from southern Lebanon indicate a significant escalation by the Israeli army, with a large explosion occurring in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah in the Nabatieh region. This incident follows a pattern of alleged ceasefire violations by the Israeli forces.

In addition to the explosion, the Israeli army’s artillery reportedly shelled the town of Hiddatha, also located in southern Lebanon. Lebanese sources also reported an Israeli drone attack targeting the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, and the presence of Israeli drones flying over Hasbaya in the south.

Further exacerbating tensions, the Israeli army was reported to have cut down trees along a road in the town of Bint Jbeil. Al-Manar network also reported that Israeli forces compelled Lebanese farmers to vacate their lands in Ain Arab and Al-Mari in southern Lebanon while they were working.

These actions come amid continuous and widespread alleged violations of the ceasefire by Israel in Lebanon.
