Former US Diplomat Criticizes Trump Administration’s Lack of Coherent Iran Strategy

A former U.S. diplomat and negotiator with Iran has stated that the current Trump administration is in a state of confusion and lacks a cohesive strategy to address the impasse with Tehran. The diplomat criticized the administration for not prioritizing ‘real diplomacy’ and instead relying on inexperienced advisors.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a former U.S. diplomat and member of the negotiation team with Iran, Alan Eyre, has stated that the current U.S. administration is in a state of confusion and lacks a cohesive and coordinated strategy to overcome the current deadlock. He noted that the Trump administration has not prioritized “real diplomacy” and has instead relied on its close advisors who possess very limited experience.
Eyre further emphasized that the lack of mutual trust between the United States and Iran is making all aspects of the situation more difficult.
