Russia Criticizes Shifting U.S. Stance on Ukraine War

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow adheres to the principles for resolving the Ukraine issue, as previously announced by President Putin at the Russian Foreign Ministry. Lavrov criticized the United States’ fluctuating policy concerning the war in Ukraine, alleging that Washington supplies intelligence reports to Kyiv for use on the front lines. He indicated a clear shift in the U.S. approach to understanding the outcomes of the Alaska meeting between President Trump and President Putin concerning Ukraine.
Lavrov elaborated that while Russia was prepared for the full implementation of agreements reached in Alaska, the U.S. has instead leaned towards European and Ukrainian assessments, claiming that the agreements from the Anchorage summit have concluded. These remarks by Lavrov came during his meeting with his American counterpart, Marco Rubio, on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
During their discussion, both sides exchanged views on developments related to the war in Ukraine and the military conflict between the United States and Iran.
