Yemen’s Maritime Operations Escalate as Saudi Arabia Seeks Omani Mediation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar has reported that Sanaa has brought the conflict to the shores of Saudi Arabia, prompting Riyadh to once again request mediation from Muscat. The report, titled “Sanaa Brings the Battle to Saudi Arabia’s Shores; Riyadh Again Seeks Muscat’s Mediation,” details how the intensification of tensions between Sanaa and Riyadh has entered a new phase with maritime operations shifting from imposing a blockade to targeting Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea. This action has increased the cost of confrontation and amplified pressure on regional mediators’ efforts.

In a significant development that has extended the maritime blockade to the Saudi Arabian coast in the Red Sea, Sanaa forces conducted two military operations targeting two Saudi oil tankers. Following the announcement of the first operation, which was framed as part of a strategy of blockade for blockade, Ansar Allah forces issued a direct and firm warning to the Saudi regime against any potential escalation.
