Algerian President Criticizes ‘Small Arab Nation’ for Destabilizing Policies

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune emphasized that a small Arab country is implementing detrimental policies towards other nations, causing bloodshed wherever it operates. Tebboune stated that Algeria, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia stand together on one front. He acknowledged divisions within the Arab world but expressed a desire to avoid exacerbating them, suggesting that Algeria would have severed ties with this small nation much earlier had it not been for broader Arab relations, given the country’s perceived propensity for causing conflict.

This development follows previous tensions between Algeria and the United Arab Emirates, with Algerian Airlines announcing a reduction in flights to Dubai. The Algerian carrier also indicated plans to increase flights to Asian destinations and other Arab capitals. Furthermore, Algeria had formally initiated measures to annul the air services agreement signed with the UAE in 2013. The report suggests that Algeria’s actions against the UAE carry significant political and economic implications, marking a tangible shift in the relationship between the two countries.
