Cuba Accuses US of Spreading Falsehoods to Justify Aggression and Blockade

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the representative of Cuba to the United Nations emphasized that the United States is seeking to create a pretext for possible military aggression against the country and justify the blockade of Cuba through political and media-driven narratives. He added that these media campaigns are intended to mislead public opinion, stating that American officials are openly lying.
The Cuban representative highlighted the contradictory stance of American officials regarding his country. He questioned how a system could simultaneously be portrayed as an incompetent and failed communist structure while allegedly being capable of conducting international espionage against the United States. The representative also pointed to repeated references by Donald Trump to a potential US military strike against Cuba, noting that the US blockade has precipitated a humanitarian crisis on the island.
