Russia Accuses US of Contradictory Actions on Ukraine Peace Efforts

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin has declared that the actions undertaken by the United States in relation to the Ukraine crisis do not align with efforts to achieve peace, asserting that Washington’s positions and conduct in this regard are contradictory.

Galuzin added that the statements and actions of American officials are at odds with each other. Moscow has taken note of remarks made by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in June, during which he claimed Washington considers itself an impartial mediator. Rubio had also indicated that the U.S. would strive to facilitate negotiations concerning Ukraine in the coming weeks.

Galuzin further elaborated that the continued dispatch of American weapons to Kyiv, along with the provision of intelligence and other logistical support from Washington, carries significant weight and is not in harmony with the pursuit of peace.

Galuzin emphasized that Moscow raises these issues during its ongoing communications with Washington.
