Magnitude 7.4 Earthquake Strikes Colombia’s Chocó Province

A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake has shaken Chocó Province on Colombia’s western coast, with tremors felt across the capital, Bogotá, and other parts of the country.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Chocó Province on Colombia’s western coast on Monday, the Colombian Geological Service announced. The tremors were felt in the capital, Bogotá, and various regions of the country.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported the earthquake’s magnitude at 7.4 degrees, with its epicenter located approximately 115 kilometers deep.

Eyewitnesses in Bogotá told Reuters that they felt strong shaking.
