Russia Conducts Overnight Strikes on Ukrainian Military Depots and Steel Plants

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that its forces carried out overnight strikes on military transport and logistics centers in Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, and a major iron and steel plant contributing to Ukraine’s war efforts in Zaporizhzhia. The reports are based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Reuters.

Ukrainian officials stated that these attacks resulted in the deaths of six people and injured 20 in the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, and caused fires in Kyiv.

The Russian Ministry of Defense detailed that it had targeted the “Nova Poshta” complex in Kyiv, which served as a storage and distribution point for dual-use goods. These included components for the production of long-range and medium-range drones, as well as robotic systems and electronic warfare equipment.

The ministry also reported an attack on Kyiv-3, a large logistics and transport hub storing assault drones, ground control stations, and their components.

In Zaporizhzhia, the attacks were directed at the Zaporizhstal metallurgy plant. The Russian Ministry of Defense described the facility as a leading steel producer whose output is used for constructing protective structures, fortification modules, military vehicle armor, and armor plating.

Furthermore, the ministry asserted that it had intercepted or destroyed 396 Ukrainian drones overnight across 15 regions.
