According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the death toll from the devastating earthquake in western Colombia has climbed to 224. Reuters reported, citing local officials, that rescue and relief efforts are continuing in the affected region. The Colombian newspaper ‘El Tiempo’ indicated that at least 1,310 people sustained injuries during the event. The magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck on August 10th near the city of San José del Palmar in the Chocó department.
