Ansarullah Official: Saudi Arabia Under US Pressure to Prevent New Yemen Front

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency quoting Al-Masirah, Mohammed Al-Farah, a prominent member of the political bureau of Yemen‘s Ansarullah, emphasized that Saudi Arabia is making efforts to impede the escalation of conflict by its affiliated elements in Yemen. This is driven by concerns that any clashes with the resistance forces could adversely affect the Kingdom’s oil interests and critical infrastructure.

Al-Farah further elaborated that Riyadh is hindering the movements of its affiliated elements because an escalation of tensions in Yemen is not in Saudi Arabia’s best interest. He noted that Riyadh is keen to prevent damage to its oil facilities, particularly Aramco.

The Ansarullah official specified that the United States is also exerting pressure on Saudi Arabia to prevent the expansion of tensions. Washington, he explained, does not wish to see a new conflict front open against its strategic interests, especially at a time when the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has already created global energy transfer chain disruptions.

Al-Farah concluded by stating that these circumstances demonstrate how any internal faction that relies on external support and ties its nation’s destiny to foreign powers will pay a significant political and military price for backing those interests.
