Kentucky Shooting Leaves Five Injured, One Dead at Community Event

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a shooting incident in Charles Young Park in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, has resulted in one death and four injuries, including two children. The event occurred around 6:48 PM local time during an annual social gathering known as “East End Day” on Midland Avenue.
Police reported that five individuals sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital, where one succumbed to their injuries. The four injured parties include a 4-year-old child, a 14-year-old teenager, and two adults, whose conditions were described as “not life-threatening.”.
Officials have confirmed that there is no current threat to the public. However, the identity of the victim has not yet been released, and no suspects have been apprehended.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency in the city following the incident to increase police presence. Third-shift officers were requested to report to duty immediately. Several local activists were present at the scene and provided assistance to the injured before emergency services arrived.
