US Denies Israeli Request to Strike Turkish Targets in Syria

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israel‘s Channel 13 revealed on Sunday that the White House denied the Israeli regime’s request to conduct airstrikes against targets linked to Turkey on Syrian territory several weeks prior.

The Israeli media outlet reported that Israel sought U.S. government approval for the strike, but U.S. President Donald Trump intervened to prevent the operation. This occurred as Turkey, with the support of Ahmed Al-Shar’a, the head of Syria’s transitional period, endeavors to bolster its military presence and influence in the country.

Channel 13 further stated that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is working to consolidate his country’s influence in Syria, including strategic positions and facilities. This move has reportedly raised concerns for Israel regarding Turkey’s growing role in Syria.

The U.S. rejection of Israel’s request is attributed to factors such as the close relationship between President Trump and President Erdoğan, as well as the U.S. administration’s desire to avoid direct confrontation between Israel and Turkey on Syrian soil.
