Hamas Officials Engage with Kushner and Mladenov Amid Gaza Peace Talks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Reuters, citing a diplomatic source, has reported that Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, met with mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey in Cairo to advance President Trump’s plan concerning Gaza.
Reuters further stated, based on the diplomatic source, that Hamas officials were present at some of the mediators’ sessions in Cairo, as well as in meetings with Kushner and Mladenov. Nikolay Mladenov serves as the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and Head of the Peace Council for Gaza.
In a separate development, the Axios website, quoting an informed source, alleged that the purpose of Kushner’s meetings with Hamas leaders in Egypt was to translate the movement’s disarmament commitments into practical steps. Kushner is scheduled to discuss reciprocal actions that Israel should undertake with Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday.
Previously, it had been announced that Jared Kushner, son-in-law and envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, would meet with Hamas representatives, with the presence of mediators from Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar.
Informed sources had previously claimed that the objective of these meetings was to prevent the collapse of a Gaza agreement.
