Iraqi Coordination Framework Condemns Attack on Kurdistan Region Prime Minister’s Office

The Iraqi Coordination Framework has strongly condemned a drone attack targeting the office of Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region. The condemnation follows an assessment of the first 100 days of Prime Minister Al-Sudani’s government.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Iraqi Coordination Framework, a coalition of Shia political groups in Iraq, has issued a strong condemnation of an attack that targeted the office of Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region. The statement was made during a meeting attended by the Prime Minister of Iraq, where domestic and international developments were reviewed.

The Coordination Framework also conducted a swift evaluation of the initial 100 days of Prime Minister Al-Sudani’s administration. A key topic of discussion during the meeting was the issue of arms monopoly within the government, framed as a national demand. Emphasis was placed on pursuing this objective through dialogue and consensus, coinciding with the conclusion of the international coalition’s mission against ISIS.

The condemnation of the attack on Barzani’s office comes hours after the Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Service announced on Monday evening that two suicide drones had targeted the Prime Minister’s office. The drone attack also reportedly struck the headquarters of the Kurdistan Region’s Security Directorate.
