Syria Condemns Israeli Airstrikes on Abu al-Duhur Military Airport

Damascus has vehemently denounced recent Israeli airstrikes on the Abu al-Duhur military airport in Idlib province, labeling the action an unjustifiable aggression and a grave violation of Syrian sovereignty. The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs holds Israel fully responsible for the escalation and urges international condemnation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syria has strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes on the Abu al-Duhur military airport in Idlib province, describing the act as an unjustifiable aggression and a clear violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that these actions pose a dangerous escalation that jeopardizes regional security and stability.

The statement from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that these repeated aggressions, occurring since December 8, 2024, while the Syrian government has exercised restraint and worked to consolidate stability and prevent the escalation of the crisis, reveal the Israeli occupiers’ intentions to undermine these efforts and drag the region towards further unrest.

The Ministry explicitly stated that the occupying Israeli regime is held fully responsible for this escalation. It called upon the international community and the United Nations Security Council to unequivocally condemn this aggression and adopt a decisive stance against the repeated violations of Syrian sovereignty.

The statement concluded by emphasizing that Syria will continue to defend its national rights and interests through all legitimate means guaranteed by international laws and customs.
