Omani Journalist: Netanyahu Led Trump to Strategic Defeat, Citing Military and Electoral Setbacks

An Omani writer and journalist has asserted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has driven Donald Trump into a strategic defeat, highlighting military resource depletion and electoral challenges. The journalist cited Trump’s past threats against Oman in connection with Strait of Hormuz negotiations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hatem Al-Ta’i, an Omani writer and journalist, stated on his personal X account that former President Trump is threatening Oman for the second time, which he described as the cries of a defeated individual. Al-Ta’i pointed to two key areas of this defeat: militarily, by depleting missile reserves and failing to control the Strait of Hormuz; and electorally, having lost in midterm elections as confirmed by polls, with Trump reportedly fearful of Democratic gains in Congress.

Al-Ta’i further elaborated that Netanyahu, whom he described as a war criminal, has entangled Trump in a strategic defeat for a nation that was once a great power but now lacks wisdom, reason, and leadership. He characterized this as an aging empire collapsing before the world’s eyes.

It is noted that Trump had previously threatened Oman multiple times, particularly in the context of Muscat-Tehran negotiations concerning the Strait of Hormuz.
