Trump Pledges Lower Ground Beef Prices to Shore Up Republican Congressional Support

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday sought to address widespread dissatisfaction within the country, attributed to the repercussions of a costly military operation in Iran. In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump stated, “Today, I finalized an agreement that will significantly lower the price of ground beef for American working families.”

The President, who is working to preserve Republican seats in the upcoming congressional elections, pledged, “As everyone knows, during the Biden administration, the price of beef increased at the fastest rate, and the U.S. cattle herd reached its lowest level in modern history. While we work to rebuild herds and support ranchers, America will permit the import of up to 300,000 tons of necessary ground beef products without additional tariffs outside of quota for the next 90 days.”

Donald Trump asserted, “We have committed to this meat being sold at 25 percent below current market prices. This agreement will reduce prices for Americans while simultaneously providing an opportunity to expand America’s large cattle herd once again.”

This development comes as numerous polls in the United States, on the eve of congressional elections, indicate a considerable decline in Trump’s and the Republicans’ standing due to rising prices for goods and services, particularly in the fuel sector.
