Hungarian Military Gripen Fighter Jet Crashes Near Szolnok, Pilot Ejects Safely

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Prime Minister of Hungary Péter Magyar announced on Monday that a fighter jet belonging to the country’s army crashed near the city of Szolnok, with the pilot safely exiting the aircraft. The announcement was made based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Anadolu Agency.
Magyar stated, “For reasons yet to be determined, one of the Gripen fighter jets of the Hungarian Defense Forces crashed minutes ago near Szolnok. The pilot successfully ejected from the aircraft.”
He indicated that investigations are ongoing, while the Minister of Defense is en route to the scene of the incident. “The Minister of Defense will provide an update soon,” Magyar added. According to initial reports, no injuries have been sustained, and no damage has been caused to civilian infrastructure.
