Egyptian Armed Forces Ready for Any External Threat, President El-Sisi Asserts

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi emphasized that the country’s armed forces are at the peak of their combat readiness and capability. Speaking during a ceremony commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), El-Sisi stated that these forces are prepared to resolutely defend Egypt, its resources, and its interests against any external threat. He highlighted that he directly and continuously monitors the combat readiness and field effectiveness levels of the armed forces. El-Sisi added, “I closely and constantly monitor the level of combat readiness and field effectiveness. My concern is not limited to our military institution but extends to all other affairs of the country; improving conditions and finding fundamental solutions to accumulated problems inherited from past decades, as well as continuously addressing any issue or deficiency that arises in providing services to citizens.” He continued, “We do not make excuses. Months ago, I asked the government to provide me with the extent of Egypt’s debt, both domestic and foreign. People are asking whether we are progressing correctly and on the right path. Here, I say that we are doing our utmost, and what we have succeeded in is by the grace of God, and what we have not succeeded in, I ask God to compensate for our shortcomings.” This statement was reported by Mehr News Agency, citing Russia Today.
