Spain Condemns ‘Unacceptable’ Israeli Attacks on UNRWA Facilities

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Spain on Wednesday condemned the “unacceptable” assaults by Israeli regime forces on facilities affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), calling on Tel Aviv to respect international law.

A statement released by the Spanish government declared, “The Spanish government strongly rejects the unacceptable violations of law against United Nations agency buildings, which enjoy immunity under international law.”

Madrid reaffirmed its “unwavering support for UNRWA and the full implementation of its mission, which is vital for meeting the needs of the Palestinian refugee population.”

The Israeli regime’s forces launched an extensive operation early Tuesday, deploying a large contingent of troops and military equipment into the Qalandia camp, located north of occupied Jerusalem. A bus carrying soldiers entered the camp’s entrance.

Local sources reported that an Israeli official, accompanied by Israeli regime army forces, entered the “Qalandia Institute,” which is affiliated with UNRWA, within the camp.

Concurrently, occupation soldiers in the Kafr Aqab area, north of occupied Jerusalem, near the separation barrier, distributed demolition notices to Palestinian residents.

During the ongoing raid, Israeli regime forces also stopped an ambulance vehicle in the Qalandia camp and detained it at the scene for a period.
