Lavrov: Hormuz Strait Situation Result of US Adventurism

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is a consequence of American and Israeli adventurism against Iran. He emphasized that prior to these actions, the strait was fully open, and discussions about tolls were not on the agenda.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the Strait of Hormuz was completely open before the aggression of the United States and Israel against Iran, and there was no talk of imposing tolls for passage through this waterway until the US and Israel began their adventurism. Lavrov made these remarks based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, quoting RIA Novosti.

The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that Moscow is not inclined to impose tolls for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, but indicated that this issue warrants further discussion.

Russia has consistently criticized the United States’ approach of encroaching on the territory of independent nations. Moscow condemned the attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime on Iran from the outset, calling for the avoidance of intervention by trans-regional powers in the Persian Gulf region.
