Qassam Brigades Vow to Continue Martyr Abu Obeida’s Path Towards Jerusalem’s Liberation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Qassam Brigades have declared their unwavering dedication to pursuing the path laid out by Martyr Abu Obeida, aiming for the eventual liberation of Jerusalem. This commitment was expressed on the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Hudhayfah al-Kahlut, the former spokesperson for the brigades, who was widely celebrated for his media impact and role in shaping the movement’s discourse.
Abu Obeida, the current spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades, eulogized al-Kahlut as a “spokesperson for the Ummah and a symbol of resistance,” noting that he was the very first spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades. He highlighted that the echo of Martyr Abu Obeida’s words still resonates, and his keffiyeh has become a global symbol of resistance for supporters worldwide.
The Qassam spokesperson described Martyr Abu Obeida as establishing a “complete media school,” endowed with divine wisdom and insight. Although his physical presence is gone, his impact and legacy endure. He stressed that the martyrdom of Abu Obeida does not signify the end of his mission, as his comrades will carry the banner forward. The brigades pledge to continue the struggle after him, God willing, until victory and the liberation of Jerusalem are achieved.
Notably, the current spokesperson for the Qassam Brigades adopted the same nom de guerre, “Abu Obeida,” in remembrance of Martyr Hudhayfah al-Kahlut, who had initially chosen this alias for himself.
