UN Warns of Consequences as Gaza Infrastructure Faces Attacks
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Nations has issued a stark warning regarding the consequences of attacks targeting Gaza‘s infrastructure. Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, emphasized the critical importance of safeguarding civilians and civilian facilities, including hospitals, during a press conference.
Dujarric further stated that the UN and its partners are assessing the risks of flooding in Gaza as the rainy season approaches. However, he noted that restrictions imposed by Israeli forces and insufficient aid are hindering these crucial efforts.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that in the past 24 hours, five Palestinians were martyred and several others injured in Gaza, marking a continued breach of the ceasefire agreement. Three Palestinians, including a captain in the Ministry of Interior, were martyred during an Israeli military assault on Gaza. Three more individuals were wounded after their jeep was targeted in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood.
Earlier, the occupying army launched a missile strike on a group of Palestinians near the Gaza Municipality Park, resulting in the martyrdom of Asem Abu Abdo and Captain Omar Al-Sarraj of the Internal Security forces. A significant explosion was also reported in areas controlled by the East Deir al-Balah region in the central Gaza Strip.
Since the implementation of the ceasefire agreement on October 10, 2025, the transgressions by the Israeli regime and the violation of the truce have led to the martyrdom of 1,318 Palestinians and the injury of 4,375 others. During this period, rescue teams have recovered the bodies of hundreds of Palestinian martyrs from under the rubble.
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has announced that the number of Palestinian martyrs in attacks by the occupying forces on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has reached approximately 73,454, with 174,486 individuals injured.
