US Treasury Secretary Claims Disruption of Iran’s Financial Lifelines

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Al Jazeera, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent claimed that Washington has sanctioned another bank associated with Iran and may impose sanctions on another bank next week.
In this regard, he asserted that the United States is serious about implementing “economic isolation” operations and hopes it will not be forced to impose further sanctions on other banks.
The U.S. Treasury Secretary stated that the non-imposition of sanctions on more banks depends on the speed at which support for Iran ceases.
Bessent, continuing the rhetoric, claimed that with increased supply in the global market, crude oil prices might decrease to the range of $40 to $50 per barrel.
The U.S. Treasury Secretary claimed that by imposing sanctions on Golden Globe Bank, the United States has severed Iran’s vital financial arteries in Turkey.
