Lebanon-Israel Talks Resume in Rome Amidst Ongoing Ceasefire Violations

A new round of indirect negotiations between Lebanon and Israel is scheduled to take place next week in Rome, Italy, as previous discussions have failed to secure a permanent ceasefire or an Israeli withdrawal from occupied southern Lebanese territories.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a new phase of talks between Lebanon and the Israeli regime is slated to convene in Rome, Italy, on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. This development comes despite a lack of progress in previous direct negotiations between the two parties.

The upcoming discussions are being held against a backdrop of continued Israeli ceasefire violations and ongoing attacks on Lebanese soil. Previous rounds of talks, commencing in April, have not resulted in a lasting cessation of hostilities or the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the occupied areas in southern Lebanon.
