US Strike on Caribbean Boat Leaves Four Dead

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Southern Command announced that American military forces targeted a boat in the Caribbean Sea, alleging it was carrying drug traffickers. The strike resulted in at least four deaths.

This is not the first time the United States has targeted boats in the Caribbean under the guise of fighting drug smugglers. CBS News estimates that the U.S. military has destroyed dozens of vessels off the coast of Latin America this year alone in operations aimed at combating drug trafficking, which have led to the deaths of over 100 people.

Human rights groups have characterized these U.S. operations as extrajudicial executions and war crimes.
