US Navy Jet Crashes Near Morro Bay, Pilot Rescued

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a U.S. Navy training jet, identified as a Hawker Hunter, crashed into the waters off Morro Bay shortly after departing Naval Air Station Point Mugu. The incident occurred approximately six miles northwest of Morro Bay.

The U.S. Coast Guard reported that the pilot ejected from the aircraft and was subsequently rescued by naval personnel. As of now, neither the jet nor its debris have been located.

The U.S. military has issued a warning to all mariners navigating the region, requesting that they exercise caution. They are also asked to report any sightings of aircraft debris or potential pollution to the U.S. Coast Guard’s Los Angeles-Long Beach sector.

The Hawker Hunter is a Cold War-era jet trainer originally designed in Britain.
