Hamas Declares Readiness to Implement Gaza Roadmap, Blames Israel for Obstruction
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announced on Thursday its readiness to implement the “Peace Plan” roadmap in Gaza, holding the Israeli regime and the Peace Council responsible for the obstructions and demanding the paving of the way for a technocratic committee to enter the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, Hamas emphasized its full preparedness to execute the roadmap agreed upon with the Peace Council to end the war in the Gaza Strip, asserting that all necessary steps have been taken.
Hazem Qassem, a Hamas spokesperson, stated that the disruption of the ceasefire agreement and its associated roadmap stems from the Israeli regime’s non-adherence to the agreement and its intensified aggressions against the residents of the Gaza Strip.
Qassem stressed the need for all parties, particularly the United States government and the Peace Council, to facilitate the entry of the technocratic committee into the Gaza Strip to fulfill their duties toward the people and to commence the deployment of international forces in accordance with the agreement’s provisions.
Israeli aggressions continue in various forms in the Gaza Strip, despite a ceasefire that has been in effect since October of the previous year. These actions have resulted in the martyrdom of hundreds and injuries to thousands.
The occupying regime also continues to evade its commitments under the first phase of the “Peace Plan” in Gaza, particularly concerning the allowance of humanitarian aid and essential supplies, and permitting the travel of the injured for medical treatment.
Hamas Calls for Confrontation of Zionist Plans Against Al-Aqsa Mosque
Separately, Hamas called for a global confrontation of the Israeli regime’s actions targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque. Majed Abu Qutaish, a Hamas leader, warned of escalating incursions by Zionist settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, deeming it a blatant violation of the sanctity of holy sites and Muslim sentiments.
Abu Qutaish underscored that the ongoing harassment of Jerusalem’s defenders and the mistreatment, summoning, detention, and exile of Palestinians within the occupied territories represent a systematic escalation aimed at undermining their presence and steadfastness on their land.
He noted that these brutal actions will not weaken the resolve of Palestinians to defend their holy sites.
Abu Qutaish urged the Palestinian people to gather at Al-Aqsa Mosque, maintain a constant presence there, and confront the schemes of Zionist settlers targeting the mosque and its Islamic identity.
The senior Hamas official affirmed that remaining in and defending Al-Aqsa Mosque is an inherent right and a sacred duty, and all attempts to impose control or temporal and spatial division of the mosque are rejected and will fail against the steadfastness and resistance of the Palestinian people.
He pointed out that the current incursions and restrictions necessitate a unified national stance to strengthen the resilience of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and the occupied territories in the face of these aggressive policies.
