German Politician Warns of NATO-Russia Confrontation Amid Accusations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting RIA Novosti, Seyim Dağdelen, a foreign policy expert from Germany’s “Alliance for Social Justice and Reasonable Economy” party, criticized NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte’s recommendation to member states of the alliance to attribute various incidents to Russia in cases of “certainty or near-certainty.”.
Dağdelen stated that these accusations are made without providing evidence and solely based on speculation, and that such an approach would intensify tensions and confrontation between Russia and NATO.
He criticized NATO’s approach towards incidents for which member countries attribute responsibility to Russia, deeming the attribution of these incidents to Moscow without sufficient evidence as unacceptable.
Dağdelen’s remarks come at a time when NATO officials and member states of the alliance have accused Russia in recent months of involvement in a series of sabotage acts, cyberattacks, and other hostile activities in Europe – accusations that Moscow has denied.
