Iraqi Leader Affirms Support for Iran, Calls for Full Airport Reopening

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syed Ammar Al-Hakim, head of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement, has expressed appreciation for the Iraqi government and Prime Minister’s endeavors to re-establish flights to and from Najaf International Airport. These efforts have successfully resumed air travel for Iran from Najaf International Airport, a significant step aimed at facilitating the movement of patients, pilgrims, and travelers, thereby supporting tourism and connections between the two nations.
Al-Hakim emphasized that this achievement demonstrates the effectiveness of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving bilateral issues and removing obstacles to serve the interests of Iraq and its people. He announced his solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and its people in confronting economic sanctions and pressures. He further stressed the need to continue efforts for the reopening of all Iraqi airports to air traffic between the two countries.
