California Governor Labels President Trump Mentally Unstable, Dangerous

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, California Governor Gavin Newsom has described U.S. President Donald Trump as a “dangerous and mentally deranged individual” in response to the President’s recent inflammatory statements concerning Iran. The remarks were reported by Mehr News Agency, citing The New York Times.
During a Republican Party rally in Nebraska, President Trump attempted to justify potential conflict with Iran as essential for “global security.” He also alluded to the possibility of attacks against the United States, specifically mentioning cities governed by Democrats in California.
Trump stated, “They can destroy an entire city. Let Los Angeles be destroyed. Let San Diego be destroyed.”
These statements provoked strong reactions from California officials, including Governor Newsom. He posted on social media, “After sending the National Guard and Marines to occupy California, Donald Trump is now saying that our foreign enemies should destroy Los Angeles and San Diego.”
Todd Gloria, the Mayor of San Diego, also commented, emphasizing that his city is not “collateral damage” nor “disposable.” He urged Trump to keep “our city out of your reckless and impulsive war talk.”
In Los Angeles, Mayor Karen Bass likewise deemed the President’s remarks “dangerous,” suggesting they could jeopardize the city’s security. In a social media statement, she stressed, “The President’s role is to protect the nation, not effectively threaten it and encourage attacks that endanger American lives.”
