Russia Warns US Against Military Base in Lithuania, Cites Escalation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Kremlin has cautioned the United States against establishing a military base in Lithuania, warning that such a move, coupled with the potential revocation of the ban on nuclear weapons deployment, would be a step towards intensifying regional tensions. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Administration, stated that in response to Lithuania’s plans to lift its prohibition on nuclear weapons, Moscow would be compelled to undertake all necessary actions to ensure its security.
Peskov also asserted that Germany’s leadership is attempting to legitimize its military spending by fabricating an imaginary adversary in Russia. The conflict in Ukraine has intensified in recent months, with the scope of attacks and tensions extending beyond the territorial borders of Moscow and Kyiv to involve numerous European countries.
