Ukraine Responds to Trump’s Criticism of President Zelensky

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha responded to statements made by United States President Donald Trump about his Ukrainian counterpart. Sybiha stated that President Zelensky enjoys the support of his people, who alone have the right to decide their future.
Sybiha’s remarks came in reaction to comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday. Trump declared that Zelensky could have ended the war with Russia at several junctures but failed to do so.
Trump further asserted that the Ukrainian president should cease targeting Russian oil facilities. He suggested it was time for Kyiv to have a new president, claiming there was no reason for the war between Ukraine and Russia to have started, attributing its commencement to incompetence.
The U.S. President continued, stating that Zelensky seeks to create problems for the world. He suggested that by targeting Russian refineries, Zelensky aims to cause issues for American farmers. Trump advised Ukraine to find a new leader capable of reaching an agreement, characterizing Zelensky as someone who is never inclined towards compromise.
Trump added that Ukraine was told to do as it pleased but not to attack fuel supplies. Despite this, he alleged that Ukraine proceeded to attack diesel fuel. He reiterated that Zelensky can do whatever he wishes, but not that specific action.
