Saudi Airstrikes Hit Yemen’s Sanaa and Taiz, Six Children Injured

Saudi Arabian warplanes launched airstrikes on areas in Yemen’s Taiz and Sanaa provinces early this morning, targeting roads, a residential neighborhood, and a building, while six children were injured by a landmine left by Saudi forces in Taiz.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Yemeni news agency “Saba” reported that Saudi Arabian fighter jets attacked areas in the provinces of Taiz and Sanaa at dawn today. The strikes targeted roads, a residential neighborhood, and a building.

The agency, quoting a local source, stated that Saudi fighter jets conducted two raids on Al-Zarbi road in the Haifan district of Taiz province. Additional attacks also hit a residential neighborhood on the airport road in the Al-Thawra district of Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, as well as the Hamdan district in Sanaa province.

In Taiz, according to the same local source, Saudi fighter jets bombed a residential building in the city center of Al-Turbah in the Al-Shamaitayn district with an airstrike, resulting in extensive damage to public property.

In a related incident, Saba reported that six children were injured by the explosion of a landmine, believed to be remnants of Saudi forces’ equipment, planted inside a citizen’s home in the Al-Afirah area of Jabal Habashi district in Taiz province. The mine detonated before the area was cleared and residents could return to their homes.

These attacks by Saudi forces on various regions of Yemen occur within the framework of escalating Saudi actions against Yemen. Yemeni armed forces announced that Riyadh is targeting civilian facilities and homes in several Yemeni provinces using aerial bombardment and missile attacks.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, announced on Sunday evening that the number of Saudi aerial and missile attacks on Yemeni provinces has exceeded 2,000.
