Putin Open to Halting Ukraine Attacks on Election Day, Kremlin Says

Russian President Vladimir Putin is reportedly prepared to order his forces to refrain from offensive operations in Ukraine on the day of the Ukrainian presidential election, according to the Kremlin.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to instruct the country’s army not to launch any attacks on the day of the Ukrainian presidential elections. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s press secretary, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency.
These statements emerged after the Kremlin rejected a proposal by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for a 60-day ceasefire aimed at facilitating the election process. Moscow indicated that instead of a temporary ceasefire, it seeks a comprehensive and long-term peace agreement.
