Arab American Voters Express Dissatisfaction with Trump Amid Economic Concerns and Iran Policy

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data published by the Mehr News Agency, based on a poll conducted by The Washington Post in collaboration with George Mason University, indicates that 58 percent of Arab American voters support Democrats in the midterm congressional elections. This contrasts with the 34 percent who endorse Republicans. The survey highlights a notable shift in the stance of American voters compared to the 2024 presidential election.
Participants in the poll cited their dissatisfaction with Trump’s performance regarding the economy and his warmongering in the region, stating that Trump and the Republican Party do not hold friendly positions toward Arab Americans. Poor economic conditions were another factor influencing voters’ inclination towards Democrats, with 70 percent of respondents expressing dissatisfaction with Trump’s economic record due to rising fuel and food prices, and increased living costs.
Furthermore, 80 percent of those polled did not approve of Trump’s handling of the Gaza issue and the Zionist regime, while 75 percent stated their discontent with Trump’s performance concerning Iran. Eight out of every ten participants indicated a desire for reduced military support for the Zionist regime.
