Yemeni Strikes Cause Severe Damage to Riyadh Airport and Disrupt Saudi Economic Plans

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, several sections of the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, have suffered significant destruction and damage as a result of recent Yemeni missile operations, and repairing these losses may take several months.
Citing informed sources, the publication explained that development projects at the Riyadh airport have faced predictable halts and delays, as a major portion of its construction activities has been suspended following recent developments.
Based on flight tracking data cited by the Wall Street Journal, commercial aircraft have largely avoided operations at the Riyadh airport, with an insider emphasizing that security concerns regarding regional air navigation remain persistent.
The media outlet also noted that the ongoing cancellation of international airline flights to Riyadh and the postponement of conferences and events to next year have jeopardized Saudi Arabia’s economic plans for revenue diversification—sectors that heavily rely on aviation, tourism, investment, and trade.
The report further stated that several senior executives based in Riyadh have been forced to use lengthy overland routes to travel to other countries in the region to avoid the risks of air travel amid unstable flight conditions.
