Washington Unveils New European Security Framework Involving Russia in Ukraine Peace Process

U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Jared Kushner announced Washington’s plan to establish a long-term European security and stability mechanism for the Ukraine conflict that includes Russian participation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Jared Kushner, the U.S. President’s special envoy and son-in-law, stated that Washington intends to shape a novel framework for long-term European stability and security amid the path to resolving the Ukraine conflict, incorporating Russia into the relevant discussions.

This political figure outlined five major objectives for the initiative: continuous dialogue on security issues, the establishment of secure communication lines for managing crisis situations, the promotion of military transparency, the implementation of reciprocal measures to reduce the likelihood of escalating tensions, and a long-term structure to preserve security and peace in Europe.

The American official noted that any agreement requires respect for national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the right of nations to independently decide on security structures and alliances, emphasizing that no government should possess the ability to veto the security choices of other countries.

Kushner further stated that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will maintain its pivotal position regarding European collective defense.

He recalled that the United States will continue consultations with Ukraine, NATO, the European Union, and other European allies while simultaneously engaging Moscow in the peace negotiation process.

These remarks come as the Trump administration prepares necessary arrangements to hold a fresh round of trilateral meetings involving representatives from the United States, Russia, and Ukraine in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11, 2026.
