The European Defense Commissioner will be added to the new posts of this union

reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Novosti, Ursula von, President of the European Commission, confirmed her intention to create the post of European Defense Commissioner.

Von said on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference: “If I continue to chair the Commission, I will create the position of European Defense Commissioner.”

He added that the question of European countries whose citizens will occupy the commissioner position has not yet been answered.

Earlier, the official representative of the European Commission, Ariana Podesta, said that a new position may appear in the Union administration in the near future.

After the next European Parliament elections this summer, the new presidency of the European Commission is supposed to be formed by the end of this year.
